Product Description

This STG53116 heavy-duty starter motor is designed for Cummins NT855, ISM, ISX, and ISX15 diesel engines, as well as heavy-duty Prevost and Detroit Diesel 60 Series applications. Built on a Delco 39MT planetary gear reduction (PLGR) platform, it delivers high torque output, reliable engagement, and consistent starting performance in demanding commercial and industrial environments.

With a 24V system, 9KW output, clockwise rotation, and 11-tooth drive, this starter is engineered for heavy-duty engines requiring strong cranking power and long service life. It features a soft start, positive engagement design, IMS switch, and rotatable housing, ensuring easy installation and durable operation under extreme conditions.
